Construction has truly begun. 75% of the existing stadium has been demolished in less than one week. Over 5,000 cubic metres of land on the golf course site has now been prepared for the laying of foundations for the new stadium. Significant progress has been made in such a short period of time, this really is a great start of greater things to come.
The public meeting which was held to discuss the R100 million plus urban park has revealed that at least two athletics tracks will form part of the urban park along with 11 sports fields. That is apart from the new tennis centre being built by Tennis WP.
